Thank God For Children Workers

Last night at dinner, Ellie (our two-year-old) wanted to spend more time playing than eating. Her older sister Maggie (our four-year-old) decides to intervene. “Ellie,” she says, “Jesus loves us and he wants us to obey mommy and daddy, so I think you should obey what daddy is saying.” This daddy’s heart was proud. It also made me so thankful for our children workers and their commitment to teach our kids God’s word. Thank you, Betty, Carrie, Bethany, Chris, Cathleen, Grace, and David and Carla (who were substitute Sunday School teachers when they discussed honoring mom and dad this past Sunday); as well as the other adults in our church who work with our kids.

Now, if we could only get Maggie to practice what she preaches. . . Maybe we all need a lesson in that.
