Lipan, Nicaragua, Africa. . . God is at work!

The Bible teaches us that He is always at work for the good of His people and the glory of His name. We have seen God at work throughout our church and community. This past Sunday even with many of our faithful members on vacation, we had 163 people gather to worship the Lord. That is the most for a “non-special” Sunday (although every Sunday is a special opportunity to meet with our Lord) that we have had in a long time. My prayer is that seeing the sanctuary filled with people meeting the Lord will be the norm and not the exception and that we will begin to have to deal with the “Growth Pains” of where do we put everyone! What a blessing it was to see Taylor following the Lord in baptism and the Chapman family join our church family!

God is also at work in the hearts of our people as He is drawing individuals to be part of His global work to reach the world for Christ. Kenneth Holder will be going on a mission trip to Nicaragua in late September. We have 6-7 members (including my wife) who are prayerfully considering going to West Africa to minister to our missionaries in November. We will begin fundraisers to help send the team to Africa on September 9th. We were reading this morning in our Men’s Bible Study (2 Corinthians 9) how generous giving is a way that we can be involved in ministry even when we cannot physically go. Pray about what the Lord would have you to give to help send our team to the ends of the earth.

Praise God that He is a work… Be open to join Him anywhere and anyway!

It is a joy to serve as your Pastor!
