On Sunday, January 1st, 2012, I encouraged our church family to take the Project 345
challenge and read the New Testament in 2012. Project 345 is a simple, effective way to read the entire New Testament in one year. The plan involves reading one chapter per day five days a week. Use the other two days to catch up or to read from the Old Testament. The plan was designed by www.thearckchurch.com
and named for the average of three minutes and forty five seconds that it takes to read one chapter in the New Testament.
In our world today, we have many "voices" speaking to us: TV, iPods, internet, Facebook, Twitter, friends, family, teachers, co-workers, etc. But the voice we need to hear above every other voice is the Voice of God. And God wants to speak to you today!
Would you commit to join me and our church family in reading the New Testament this year? You will be amazed at the blessings
that will become part of your life if you will!
Keeping Up with Your Reading Plan
You can keep up with your reading this year either through downloading and printed a Reading Plan Checklist here
or you can download the free YouVersion Bible App by Lifechurch.tv and keep up with your reading plan on your phone or tablet.
To get the YouVersion bible app go to youversion.com/download
on your phone or tablet. Once you download the app, you will need to sign up for a free account. You will then have access to almost all English versions via internet. Many of the versions you can also download to your phone so that you can access them without internet as well. I downloaded the English Standard Version – the version I preach from. Finally, browse through the available reading plans and find Project 345! Let me know if you need help getting started.
Feel free to share what God is teaching you through His Word on our Church Facebook Page
. Also, each Wednesday night during prayer meeting, my devotional will come from that week's reading and you will have an opportunity to share as well!
God Bless and may He speak powerfully to you this year through His Word!
